We are always on the look out for additional auditors for our accredited BRC Global Standards schemes, which are for Food Safety, Storage & Distribution and Agents & Brokers.
If you are UK or Ireland based, already qualified and active that is a real plus however we can look at training the right candidates. There could also be the option of employment (our preferred option for the right person) or freelance work.
If you you have the essential requirements academically, including Lead Assessor and HACCP qualifications and some auditing experience, please get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org
There have been several subtle changes to BRCGS procedures since the previous post (25/03/20).
For existing clients, if requested we continue to carry out Risk Assessments as part of the Certification Extension process. One significant change is that we now have to charge for the BRCGS fee for this, which is half the normal full audit fee for all risk assessment interviews since 1st June 2020.
The good news is that while we have been carrying out full on site audits in other countries e.g. China for a few weeks, we have also just started to resume them in the UK. This is good news for sites and for us frankly.
The BRCGS and all Certification Bodies working in the UK have been thinking hard about what will happen when those companies that have had an extension certificate will have to be fully audited later and how to resolve the bottleneck of audits that will result. One option from BRCGS is that companies that are normally due for audit later this year who have not had extended certificates may be able to move their re-audit dates without penalty, however we would also like all suppliers who have audits due in the next few months to consider whether we may do a full audit without resorting to the certificate extension programme.
Please contact us if you would like to discuss this.
We are delighted to welcome Samantha MacRae who has joined us this week. Samantha is a full time employee who will be carrying out audits and assisting with report checking. Samantha comes from a wide-ranging food manufacturing environment and adds strength to our audit team for both bespoke audits and BRCGS work.
We are pleased to announce that we can now carry out Marine Stewardship Council Chain of Custody audits in the UK and Ireland.
These are done by Micron2 in partnership with the Swiss certification body:
Ecocert IMOswiss AG
Importantly they can be done in conjunction with a BRCGS Audit or as a stand-alone audit.
Ecocert IMOswiss AG is part of the ECOCERT Group based in France and has many years of experience in high quality services for seafood standards.
For details about MSC Certification please look at our working partner’s website at http://www.ecocert-imo.ch (direct link to: http://www.ecocert-imo.ch/logicio/pmws/indexDOM.php?client_id=imo&page_id=msc&lang_iso639=en)
Otherwise please contact us at info@micron2
We had an excellent meeting with all our food safety auditors, including our UK BRC auditors and the rest of the BRC Certification team this month. This one was held at Fordhall Farm in Market Drayton, our local, famous organic farm. They provided all the food which was lovely of course.
