The well-travelled Silva has a wealth of experience having started her career in Switzerland after graduating in Food Science and Technology from the Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich.  After spell in project management in Switzerland and as a Senior Food Scientist in Maastricht (via Slough!) she returned the UK and worked as International Technical Manager for Spillers in Cambridge. Since then Silva worked as a food auditor and business manager for another CB until 2011 and as an independent consultant.
